We are seeking an organised, proactive, and people-focused Business Support and Grant Manager to join our growing charity. This new full time role has been created to support increasing demand and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to projects that deliver lasting community impact. The position is offered on a two-year fixed-term contract, with the intention of becoming permanent. Some UK travel, including occasional overnight stays, will be required.
This dual-role position combines business support and development responsibilities with the administration and management of grant funding programmes. You will support the charity’s operations, coordinate and submit funding bids and tenders, and help secure opportunities that align with our mission and strategic objectives.
A key aspect of the role is stakeholder engagement. You will build and maintain positive relationships with clients, community groups, grant applicants, and funders, supporting the onboarding of new opportunities who place trust in GrantScape in distributing funds to local communities.
As Grant Manager, you will oversee grant applications and monitoring funded projects, reviewing outcomes, and ensuring compliance with governance and reporting requirements.
Working closely with the CEO, the Grant Director, and the Grant Team, you will support the development and delivery of community benefit funds through planning, assessment, governance, reporting, research, and stakeholder engagement. You will also assist with briefings, presentations and client reporting.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in grant administration, funding programmes, bid writing, tendering, fundraising, or business support. You will be highly organised, able to assess information objectively, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Experience within a charity, funding body, community organisation, or social value environment would be beneficial, as is the ability to learn quickly, exercise sound judgement, manage funding responsibly, and contribute positively to our mission.
But most importantly we are looking for someone who is resourceful, detail-focused, and committed to fairness, transparency, and community impact. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who would enjoy combining business development along with grant management.
To apply, please provide a copy of your CV and a covering letter (maximum of 2 sides on A4) which explains how you meet the job description to jobs@grantscape.org.uk.
