Bluefield Solar Income Fund (BSIF) is an investment company focused on the acquisition and long term management of renewable assets in the UK. Though the fund focuses primarily on large scale solar PV farms, it can also invest a minority of its capital into wind and storage technologies. BSIF views its relationships with local communities as highly important and supports a number of community benefit schemes across its portfolio.

Operational since Spring 2014, the four-turbine wind farm at Hampole near Doncaster, has a total generation capacity of 8.2MW, sufficient to power around 4,900 average homes.

Bluefield Solar Income Fund is offering a Community Fund worth c£10,000 a year (rising with inflation each year) for the lifetime of the wind farm to support local charitable causes.

The Fund gives groups the opportunity to apply for grants between £250 and £10,000.  There will be one application round to apply to each year – next closing date at the top right of this page. Additional rounds will be established if all the funding is not allocated.
