Eastchurch Community Fund

The two wind farm developments located in the Parish of Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey, owned by EnergieKontor (New Rides) and Resonance Asset Management (HMP Standford Hill) respectively, contribute each year into the Eastchurch Community Fund.

To be eligible to apply, your project must be in the Eastchurch Parish and you must be one of the following types of organisation:

• Voluntary, community groups, community, parish and town councils
• Schools and educational establishments
• Social enterprises (including credit unions, co-operatives, social firms, community owned enterprises, community interest companies and developments trusts) provided they operate on a not-for profit basis.

There will be two funding rounds each year, with decisions made within two months of the published deadlines. 75% of the annual amount will be available for groups applying to the first funding round of the year (Spring), and the remaining 25% available for groups applying to the second round of the year (Autumn).

The minimum grant available is £250.

The maximum grant available for groups applying to the first round of the year (Spring) is £30,000.

The maximum grant available for groups applying to the second round of the year (Autumn) is £10,000.

Any funding not allocated will be rolled forward to the next round.

A local Advisory Group (AG) has been established to help decide how to spend the fund each year.
