Crook Hill Community Benefit Fund

Crook Hill Wind Farm consists of eleven wind turbines and the site has the capacity to power over 26,000 UK homes. Equitix Ltd, the development managers, support community projects located within 5km of the Crook Hill Wind farm.
In November 2015, Partnerships for Renewables (PfR) completed the construction of the Crook Hill Wind Farm. There are eleven wind turbines and the site has the capacity to power over 26,000 UK homes. Equitix Ltd, the development managers, will donate £35,000 on an annual basis for the operational life of the project, 20-25 years. Donations to the Fund will be index-linked, so can be expected to grow in size in most years.
Project Locations
Projects for which grants are requested must be located within 5km of the Crook Hill Wind Farm. Please click on the map below to check that your project is located within the funding area.
Priority will be given to projects located within the inner 4km priority area.
Closing Date
There is a single application round each year. The next closing date is 10 February 2027, midnight. Decisions will be announced by End April 2027.
Grant Recommendations
A Community Advisory Panel (CAP) of local people has been established to help decide how to spend the Fund each year.
