Ørsted

Ørsted (formerly DONG Energy) is a world leader in offshore wind and the UK is the biggest market for their investment going forwards. Ørsted is committed to supporting the local areas and communities where they operate and currently donate £1.29 million to projects located within designated areas, along the North West and East of England coastline.

GrantScape is working with Ørsted to develop and manage the following three Community Funds:

The Burbo Bank Extension Community Fund was launched in 2015. £225,000 has been made available for the lifetime of the project. Applicants can apply for grants between £500 and £20,000.

The Walney Extension Community Fund was launched in May 2016. £600,000 has been made available for the lifetime of the project. Applicants can apply for grants between £500 and £50,000. £100,000 of the total available is ring-fenced for a Skills Fund, where separate criteria applies.

The East Coast Community Fund launched in December 2016. There is approximately £465,000 available each year for a 20 year period. Applicants can apply for grants between £1,000 and £50,000. £75,000 of the total available is ring-fenced for a Skills Fund, where separate criteria applies.

The Hornsea 3 Community Fund has had a full Consultation and will open for applications in the Summer of 2023.
