CWM Environmental Limited

CWM Environmental Limited (CWM) is based in Johnstown, near Carmarthen. The company cares greatly about the environment and its goal is to increase the amount of reuse, recycling and recovery from all waste streams which are disposed of at its Nantycaws landfill site, household waste recycling centres, transfer stations and its materials recycling facility for Carmarthenshire.

In 2007, CWM chose GrantScape to create and manage its £200,000 annual grant programme for local community facilities and biodiversity projects located throughout Carmarthenshire.

Due to significant reductions in the amount of waste being landfilled at Nantycaws (which reflects the success of recycling in Carmarthenshire), the Fund closed in 2018.

The CWM Community and Environmental Fund distributed grants with a total value of over £2.4 million to over 110 projects, through the Landfill Communities Fund.
