Outdoor play at Nateby Primary School has been enhanced with the installation of new climbing equipment, creating more engaging opportunities for pupils to stay active, build confidence and develop key life skills. 
Supported by an £8,000 grant from the Orchard End Wind Farm, the project has replaced outdoor equipment that was no longer fit for purpose, ensuring pupils have access to a safe, high-quality space for play and learning.
Nateby Primary School serves 88 pupils from the local area, all of whom benefit from the improved outdoor facilities. The new equipment has introduced more varied and challenging play opportunities, supporting children’s physical development through activities that build strength, coordination and balance.
Beyond the physical benefits, the upgraded space is also helping to support pupils’ social and emotional development. Through active play, children are developing confidence, resilience and teamwork skills, while learning to take risks in a safe and supervised environment.
The impact has been immediate. The new equipment is already being used regularly during playtimes and outdoor learning sessions, creating a more dynamic and inclusive environment for all pupils.
